The Profile Settings window allows you to view and change settings specific to your account. For example, you can change the timezone or language according to your preference.
To view your profile settings:
Log in to your Freshdesk Contact Center account.
On the top right corner, click on your name and then click on Profile Settings. Here you can change your preferred language, timezone, and change your personal extension number.

Viewing your extension number
Extension numbers are useful when you want customers to reach you directly. By default, you will have a 4-digit personal extension number, which can be shared with customers.
If you are an admin, you can create an agent extension call flow and assign the flow to a particular phone number. When customers call on that number and know an agent’s personal extension number, they can directly connect with the agents without navigating through an IVR. For details, see Configuring Agent Extension Call Flow.
To change the extension number, enter the number in the personal extension field and click Save.
Note: As an admin, you can view the list of extension numbers assigned to the agents in your account. However, you cannot edit their numbers. To view your agents’ extension numbers, go to Admin > Agents and click on the agent name.
Click on the timezone option in Profile Settings and select your preferred timezone, and click Save.
If you are an account admin, you can change the timezone from the Billing page also.
Note: By default, the timezone is set based on your location. If you change the timezone, all agents will have the same timezone in their respective accounts. However, if the agent sets a different timezone, the agent’s timezone preference will take higher precedence.
In addition to the default English language, Freshdesk Contact Center supports over 30 + languages. This means you can view the entire product interface in your preferred language. Select your preferred language and click Save.

Sometimes you may have too many tabs open on your browser. As a result, you may miss calls that appear in another tab. To avoid this and ensure that you always know when a call is incoming, enable the Ring on speakers and headphone option and click Save.
Extension numbers are useful to route callers directly to your personal number.
