How to save a contact? 

  1. If you have received a call from a number and wish to save it as a contact, go to Customers tab. 

  2. In the customers tab, hover over the number which you wish to save as a contact and click on the edit button

  1. In the right side panel that opens, you can change the following information of the contact

    1. Contact name: Change the contact name, the default contact name is the phone number itself

    2. Email Address: Enter the email address associated with the contact

    3. The selected phone number will appear under ‘Phone Numbers’, you can also add another number that belongs to the same customer 

    4. You can enter the company name of the customer

    5. Address: Enter the address if available

  1. Once done click on ‘Save’.

 

Creating a new contact

Alternatively you can also create a new contact, to do so —

  1. Go to Customers tab 

  2. Click on Add New Contact button

  1. In the right-side panel that opens you can enter the following information:

    1. The name of the contact

    2. The email address associated with the contact

    3. The phone number of the contact, you can also add more than one number by clicking on the ‘+ Add Phone Number’ button

    4. The company name of the customer

    5. The address of the contact, if available

Importing your contacts

Applicable plans: Blossom, Garden, Estate

If you have a list of contacts ready instead of saving them one by one, you can import them directly into Freshcaller. To do so: 

  1. Go to your Customers' tab 

  2. Click on Import Contact List 
  3. You can choose to simply drag and drop the file you wish to upload or browse a file from your computer to upload into Freshcaller
  4. You can also download a .csv template file, to do so click on ‘Download a ready to use .csv template’. Once downloaded and opened, the file should look like the one given below, you can enter the contact details in this file and then upload them into Freshcaller.

  5. More than 2 phone numbers can also be added, to do so simply add a new column and name it is as Phone 3. There are no restrictions on the number of phone numbers that can be added. 

  6. Click on Upload to import your contacts
  7. You can perform any other action while the file is being uploaded and you will be notified once it is done
  8. Your imported contacts will now be visible in the customers tab

  9. In the unfortunate event your contacts are not imported, you will receive the following notification

  10. Clicking on ‘Know more’ will give the reason as to why the .csv file could not be uploaded. 

  11. Make the necessary changes and re-upload the file.
