Freshdesk Contact Center allows you to upgrade/downgrade your current subscription plan, change the billing cycle, or the number of agents in your account.
The following scenarios are considered as downgrade requests:

The downgrade requests will be effective from your next billing cycle. For example, if you currently have a quarterly billing cycle and want to move from an Estate to a Garden plan, the subscription plan will be changed only at the end of the quarter. However, the upgrade requests will be initiated immediately.

Note: The downgrade policy applies only to paid customers. Trial customers can switch between plans without going through this policy.
Only an account admin has permission to upgrade or downgrade a plan.
- Log in to your Freshdesk Contact Center account as an admin.
- Go to Admin > Billing.
You can see the current subscription plan highlighted.|
To change the plan, select the desired plan, and click Switch to plan. For example, if you want to move from an Estate to a Garden plan, select Garden and click Switch to plan.
- In case of a downgrade request, you will also see the list of features that will be removed. If you still want to proceed, click Continue.
Note: This list will not be visible for an upgrade request.
- Select the Billing cycle and enter the number of agents.
- The billing cycle options are:
- Half yearly
Before making the payment, check the final payable amount and click Continue.
- Click Purchase to make the payment.
If the payment is successful, your upgrade/downgrade request will be processed and you will receive a notification on your registered Freshdesk Contact Center email ID.
Note that upgrade requests are initiated immediately, however, downgrade requests will be effective only from your next billing cycle. Also, you can cancel the downgrade request anytime before the next billing cycle. To cancel, click on the cancel request option on the Billing page.
